Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Squad Returns Home for Two NSIC Matches

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team returns home for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 against Minot State University (MSU) and the University of Mary (U-Mary) respectively. The matches begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 3-9-2 and NSIC record of 1-8-2 after dropping a pair of NSIC road matches this past weekend. UMC dropped a 3-1 decision to Upper Iowa University on Friday and were edged 1-0 at Winona State University on Sunday.

Nikki Hammond (Sr, F, Nelson, Minn./Health Sciences), Kallie Gau (Fr, M, Monticello, Minn/Early Childhood Education) and Delaney McIntyre (So, M, Flin Flon, Manitoba/Sport and Recreation Management) all have four points on the season. Hammond and Gau have each scored two goals while McIntyre has scored one goal and added two assists. Rachel Halligan (Sr, D, Duluth, Minn./Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education) and Kelah Peterson (Jr, F, Bismarck, N.D./Elementary Education) have each scored one goal and added one assist for three points. Lexie Gauger (Fr, GK, Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) has a 1.30 goals against average and a .810 saves percentage with two shutouts.

Golden Eagles vs. Minot State University                                             Saturday, October 26                                                11 a.m.

The Beavers have an overall record of 5-6-2 and NSIC record of 5-5-1 after defeating Augustana College 2-1 on Saturday and Wayne State College 1-0 on Sunday. They are led Zoe Fisher who has scored three goals and added five assists for 11 points. Gemma Biasetto has a 1.47 goals against average and a .895 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. University of Mary                                                    Sunday, October 27                                                  1 p.m.

The Marauders have an overall record of 3-9-2 and NSIC record of 3-6-2 after defeating Wayne State College 4-0 on Saturday and settling for a 2-2 tie with Augustana College on Sunday. They are led Alex Bachman-Williams who has scored seven goals and added one assist for 15 points. Shelby Buttron has a 1.83 goals against average and a .785 saves percentage.
