Box Score (Crookston, Minn.) – Winona State University scored just under three minutes into the second half and held on to defeat the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) 1-0 today in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer match in Winona, Minn.
A scoreless deadlock was broken at 47:45 when Hadley Bales scored her second goal of the season. She was assisted by Mehan Bolton.
The Warriors improve to 10-2-2 overall and 9-2-0 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 3-9-2 overall and 1-8-2 in the NSIC.
UMC returns to NSIC action on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 when they host Minot State University and the University of Mary respectively. Saturday's match begins at 11 a.m. while Sunday's begins at 1 p.m.
