Box Score (Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) and Northern State University (NSU) battled hard through two overtimes but settled for a 0-0 tie in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer action today in Aberdeen, S.D. The tie coupled with yesterday's victory at Minnesota State University Moorhead gives the Golden Eagles four points on the weekend.
Both goalkeepers had stout performances. UMC's
Lexie Gauger (Fr, GK, Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) recorded four saves and gave up only one goal on the weekend. NSU's Brittany Tietz recorded three saves.
The Golden Eagles now hold a record of 3-7-2 overall and 1-6-2 in the NSIC. The Wolves have an overall record of 6-5-1 and NSIC record of 3-5-1.
UMC returns to NSIC action on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 when they travel to Upper Iowa University and Winona State University
respectively. Saturday's match begins at 3 p.m. while Sunday's match begins at 12 p.m.
