Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team Returns Home for Four-Game Home-Stand

(Crookston, Minn.) – Fresh off their first victory of the season, the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team returns home for the start of four-game home-stand with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches on Saturday, October 6 against Northern State University (NSU) and on Sunday, October 7 against Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). Matches start at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 1-8-1 and NSIC record of 1-5-1 after dropping a 4-0 decision to Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday and defeating the University of Sioux Falls 3-2 on Sunday. UMC is led by Rachel Halligan (Jr, D, Duluth, Minn.) who has scored three goals and added an assist for seven points. Megan Flynn (Sr, D, Chanhassen, Minn.) has four assists for four points. Ashleigh Erdmann (So, GK, Crookston, Minn.) has a 1.06 goals against average and a .857 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. Northern State University        Saturday, October 6            11 a.m.

The Wolves have an overall record of 3-6-1 and NSIC record of 2-4-1 after dropping a 7-1 decision to Winona State University on Saturday and defeating Upper Iowa University 2-1 on Sunday. Rachel Goslinga has scored seven goals and added two assists for 16 points. Kourtney Woracek has a 2.81 goals against average and a .716 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. MSU Moorhead            Sunday, October 7        1 p.m.    

The Dragons have an overall record of 2-7-1 and NSIC record of 2-5-1 after dropping a 3-2 double overtime decision to Upper Iowa University on Saturday and a 5-1 decision to Winona State University on Sunday. MSUM defeated the Golden Eagles 2- 0 in a non-conference game back on September 5. The Dragons are led by Erin Nyberg who has scored five goals for ten points. Isabel Neymen has scored three goals and added an assist for seven points.
Carole Braschayko has a 2.60 goals against average and a .696 saves percentage.
