Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team Hits the Road for Pair of NSIC Matches

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team hits the road in search of their first victory of the season when they travel to Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) on Saturday, September 29 and the University of Sioux Falls (USF) on Sunday, September 30. Both Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games begin at 1 p.m.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 0-7-1 and NSIC record of  0-4-1 after a 0-0 double overtime tie with Augustana College on Saturday and a 1-0 loss to Wayne State College on Sunday. UMC is led by Rachel Halligan (Jr, D, Duluth, Minn.) who has scored one goal and added one assist for three points. Carly Mirwaldt (Sr, M, Fort Wayne, Ind.) has scored one goal for two points. Megan Flynn (Sr, D, Chanhassen, Minn.) has recorded two assists for two points. Ashleigh Erdmann (So, GK, Crookston, Minn.) has a 0.81 goals against average and a .875 saves percentage. Drew Underdahl (So, GK, Zumbro Falls, Minn.) has a 2.22 goals against average and a .737 saves percentage with four starts and five appearances.

Golden Eagles @ Southwest Minnesota State        Saturday, September 29        1 p.m.

The Mustangs have an overall record of 4-3-0 and NSIC record of 2-3-0 after losing to the University of Minnesota Duluth 1-0 on Saturday and defeating St. Cloud State University 1-0 on Sunday. SMSU is led by Kendahl Fisher who has scored four goals and added an assist for nine points. Miranda Cadena has scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Sonya Smith has a 1.00 goals against average and a .837 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles @ University of Sioux Falls        Sunday, September 30        1 p.m.    

The Cougars have an overall record of 0-6-0 and NSIC record 0-3-0 after losing a 2-0 game to Minot State University on Saturday and dropping a 2-1 double overtime game to the University of Mary on Sunday. Mikenna Greathouse, Desiree Parmenter and Sidney Allen each have scored one goal for two points. Corrin Cook has a 2.76 goals against average and a .703 saves percentage.
