Wayne State College Tops Golden Eagles 1-0 for First NSIC Victory of the Season

Box Score (Crookston, Minn.) – Wayne State College (WSC) broke a scoreless deadlock when Kayli Hopper scored off an assist from McKenna Adams at 64:09 of the game to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 1-0 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer match today in Crookston, Minn. It was the first NSIC victory of the season for the Wildcats.

WSC's Courtney True stopped one UMC shot on goal to record the shutout. Ashleigh Erdmann (So, GK, Crookston, Minn.) recorded three saves for the Golden Eagles.

The Wildcats improve to 1-7-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the NSIC. UMC falls to 0-7-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the NSIC.

The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 when they travel to Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Sioux Falls respectively. Both games begin at 1 p.m.
