Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Two NSIC Matches on Homecoming Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team hosts two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23. The Golden Eagles will face Augustana College (AC) on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Wayne State College (WSC) on Sunday at 1 p.m. It will be homecoming weekend for UMC.

UMC will be in search of its first win of the season after dropping a pair of NSIC road matches this past weekend. The Golden Eagles lost to Minnesota State University and Concordia University, St. Paul by identical 3-1 scores. They have an overall record of 0-6-0 and NSIC record of 0-3-0.

UMC is led by Rachel Halligan (Jr, D, Duluth, Minn.) who has scored one goal and added one assist for three points. Carly Mirwaldt (Sr, M, Fort Wayne, Ind.) has scored one goal for two points. Megan Flynn (Sr, D, Chanhassen, Minn.) has recorded two assists for two points. Drew Underdahl (So, GK, Zumbro Falls, Minn.) has a 2.22 goals against average and a .737 saves percentage with four starts and five appearances. Ashleigh Erdmann (So, GK, Crookston, Minn.) has a 1.33 goals against average and a .800 saves percentage with one start and two appearances.

Golden Eagles vs. Augustana College            Saturday, September 22        11 a.m.

The Vikings have an overall record of 4-2-0 and NSIC record of 3-0-0 after defeating Northern State University 2-1 in double overtime on Saturday and defeating Minnesota State University Moorhead 2-0 on Sunday. They are led by Payton Pry who has scored four goals for eight points. Katie Hurd has scored two goals and added one assist for five points. Amanda Wagner has started five games in net and has a 0.64 goals against average and a .885 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. Wayne State College            Sunday, September 23        1 p.m.    

The Wildcats have an overall record of 0-6-0 and an NSIC record of 0-3-0 after dropping a 4-3 overtime  decision to Minnesota State University on Saturday and a 2-0 decision to Northern State University on Sunday. McKenna Adams has scored three goals and added one assist for seven points. Courtney True has a 2.71 goals against average and a .660 saves percentage.
