Box Score (Crookston, Minn.) – Courtney Armborst (Fr, F, West St. Paul, Minn.) scored a goal and assisted on another as the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team defeated Northern State University (NSU) 2-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action today in Crookston, Minn. It was the second straight victory for the Golden Eagles.

Nikki Hammond (Jr, F, Nelson, Minn.) put UMC on the board 6:07 into the game when she drilled a goal to the upper left hand corner of the net. She was assisted by Armborst. The score remained 1-0 until Armborst removed all doubt when she scored an unassisted goal off her own rebound at 89:21 to make the final score 2-0.

Ashleigh Erdmann (So, GK, Crookston, Minn.) was solid in net recording one save to earn the shutout for the Golden Eagles. Shaina Stein recorded four saves for the Wolves.

UMC improves to 2-8-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the NSIC. NSU falls to 3-7-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the NSIC.

The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Sunday, October 7 when they host Minnesota State University Moorhead. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
