CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota, Crookston has officially announced that it will play their final home football game of the season against Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division rival University of Mary at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, N.D. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. Nov. 10 with gates opening at 12 p.m.
Ticket prices for the game are $12 for adults ages 18 to 62. Students ages 13 to 18 can get in for $8. Children ages six through 12 and seniors ages 62 and over can get in for $6 while UMC students have free admission with a student I.D. Children ages six and under also have free admission to the game. Tickets can be purchased through the Alerus Center and Ticketmaster. Tailgating for UMC and U-Mary fans will be allowed outside the gate two in the south parking lot. The main entrance for the game will be gate one.
The Alerus Center is a 12,283-seat enclosed stadium located on the west side of Grand Forks just off of Interstate 29. The Alerus Center, which is one of the region's top venues for sports and entertainment, opened in February of 2001 and quickly became the crown jewel of Grand Forks. The field was just fitted with a brand new AstroTurf Magic Carpet in August of 2012. The new turf features five layers that allow it to mimic real grass more effectively. The stadium serves as the home of University of North Dakota football.
