Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Michigan Tech University (MTU) scored one goal in the first half and added two more in the second while allowing only one shot on goal on their way to a 3-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston today in Houghton, Mich.
The Huskies got on the board at 42:14 when Alyssa Hynek scored off an assist from MacKenzie Jordan. MTU pushed their lead to 2-0 at 50:19 when Lindsey Van Rooy scored off assists from Katie Boardman and Ann Dahlquist. McKenzie Hengesh closed out the scoring at 74:11 with an unassisted goal.
The Huskies improve to 2-0-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles fall to 0-2-0.
U of M, Crookston returns to action on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 when they travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. for a pair of non-conference games. The Golden Eagles face Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Augustana College at 11 a.m. on Saturday and the University of Nebraska-Kearney at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
