Bulldogs Net Three Second Half Goals to Down U of M, Crookston 3-0 in Women’s Soccer

Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) scored three goals in the second half and shut-out the University of Minnesota, Crookston 3-0 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer game today in Crookston, Minn.

After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs got on the board at 59:25 when Maureen Stormont scored off an assist from Dani Potter. Reegan Lloyd made the score 2-0 at 61:47 off a penalty kick. UMD scored their final goal at 72:29 when Jennifer Smith scored off an assist from Abby Serreyn.

Hanna Iaizzo recorded two saves for the Bulldogs. Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) recorded three saves for the Golden Eagles while Drew Underdahl (Fr, G, Zumbro Falls, Minn.) added one.

UMD improves to 1-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the NSIC. U of M, Crookston falls to 1-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the NSIC.

The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25 when they travel to Concordia University, St. Paul and St. Cloud State University respectively. Both games begin at 4 p.m.
