(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball games scheduled for Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 in Lawrence, Kan. have been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Golden Eagles were scheduled to play Jamestown College and Kansas Wesleyan University on Saturday and Jamestown College again on Sunday.
The Lawrence/Topeka area was hit with four inches of heavy, wet snow on Thursday night. “This is disappointing but we will see what adjustments we can make and move on,” says Golden Eagle Head Baseball Coach Chris Vito. “I feel terrible for the players as they have worked incredibly hard and were looking forward to getting on the field. We will not be able to make these games up but hopefully we can find something for next weekend.”
The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
