(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team closes out the home portion of the 2011 season on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 against Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) and Minnesota State University (MSU) respectively. Both Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games begin at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles dropped a 2-0 NSIC decision at MSU Moorhead on Friday. U of M, Crookston holds an overall record of 3-9-0 and NSIC record of 2-5-0. They are led by
Nikki Hammond (So, F, Nelson, Minn.) who has scored four goals for eight points.
Jessica Ramirez (Fr, F, Millbrae, Cal.) has scored one goal and added two assists for four points.
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) has a 1.83 goals against average and a .796 saves percentage.
Golden Eagles vs. Southwest Minnesota State Saturday, October 15 1 p.m.
The Mustangs have an overall record of 5-6-0 and NSIC record of 4-3-0 after splitting a pair of games this weekend. SMSU lost 1-0 to Augustana College on Saturday and defeated Wayne State College 2-1 on Sunday. The Mustangs are led by Kelly Fitzgerald who has scored four goals and added two assists for ten points. Sonya Smith has a 1.52 goals against average and a .874 saves percentage.
Golden Eagles vs. Minnesota State Sunday, October 16 1 p.m.
The Mavericks have an overall record of 10-1-1 and NSIC record of 7-0-0 after sweeping a pair of games this past weekend. MSU defeated Wayne State College 4-0 on Saturday and Augustana College 3-0 on Sunday. The Mavericks are led by Nicole Dooher who has scored nine goals and added five assists for 23 points. Brittany Henry has scored nine goals and added four assists for 22 points. Molly McGough has a goals against average of 0.71 and a saves percentage of .810.
