Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) scored a goal in each half and held the University of Minnesota, Crookston scoreless as they captured a 2-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) victory on a windy day today in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons got on the board at 27:00 when Katherine Adams scored an unassisted goal to take a 1-0 lead into the locker room. MSUM put the game away at 68:49 when Erin Nyberg scored off an assist from Amanda Wurdeman.
MSUM's Victoria Hoffman recorded two saves.
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) recorded five saves for the Golden Eagles.
The Dragons improve to 7-3-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the NSIC. U of M, Crookston falls to 3-9-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the NSIC.
The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 when they play host to Southwest Minnesota State University and Minnesota State University in their final home games of the 2011 season. Both games start at 1 p.m.
