Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Upper Iowa University scored with 4:01 remaining in overtime to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer game today in Fayette, Iowa.
The Peacocks got on the board first at 25:15 when Kali Loescher scored off an assist from Valarie Ptasiniski. The Golden Eagles tied the game at 53:33 when
Rachel Halligan (So, D, Duluth, Minn.) scored off an assist from
Megan Flynn (Jr, D, Chanhassen, Minn.). Upper Iowa captured the game at 95:59 when Leslie Willson scored off an assist from Loescher.
Amanda Smith recorded two saves for the Peacocks.
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) recorded eight saves for U of M, Crookston.
Upper Iowa University improves to 8-7-3 overall and 6-4-3 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles close out the season at 3-14-1 overall and 2-10-1 in the NSIC.
