Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston and Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie today in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer action today in Crookston, Minn.
The Golden Eagles held decided advantages on overall shots (22-9) and shots on goal (13-4).
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) recorded four saves for U of M, Crookston while Sonya Smith recorded 13 saves for the Mustangs.
The Golden Eagles now have an overall record of 3-9-1 and NSIC record of 2-5-1. SMSU has an overall record of 5-6-1 and NSIC record of 4-3-1.
U of M, Crookston closes out the home portion of the 2011 schedule on Sunday, October 16 with an NSIC contest against Minnesota State University. Action gets underway at 1 p.m. at the UMC Soccer Field.
