Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team made their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) victory of the season a memorable one as the Golden Eagles took down Northern State University 1-0 today in Crookston, Minn. on U of M, Crookston Homecoming.
The Golden Eagles scored the only goal they would need when
Nikki Hammond (So, F, Nelson, Minn.) scored in an unassisted fashion at 21:12 of the contest.
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) was stellar in net serving the Wolves a shutout with eight saves.
U of M, Crookston improves to 2-8-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the NSIC. NSU falls to 5-5-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the NSIC.
The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Sunday, October 2 as they host the University of Mary. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
