Pablo Ronderos came to UMC following graduation from Richardton Abbey High School in North Dakota. Marv Bachmeier, former basketball coach, recruited him to UMC in 1971. He was originally from Bogata Columbia, South America.
Ronderos was very talented and worked especially hard to improve his playing ability during his two years at UMC. Pablo averaged nearly 25 points per game. He was named to the MCCC All Conference Team and also to the All Region 13 Team. He also participated in track.
According to Marv Bachmeier, former basketball coach and athletic director at UMC, "Pablo was very strong, had great jumping ability and demonstrated an excellent work ethic." All of these qualities made Pablo a top caliber player.
Pablo continued his basketball career following his graduation from UMC at the University of Mary in Bismarck North Dakota.
