Cory Schreifels is a 2004 graduate of UMC. He was a two-time first team all-conference(NDCAC) and a two-time first team NAIA All-American. He was named NDCAC defensive player of the week five times in two years and voted the NAIA national player of the week vs. Valley City. He was a captain of the 1997 team and the 1997 senior player of the year in the NDCAC.
Schreifels was a member of 1996 team, the only UMC team to make post-season playoffs as a four year school. He led the team in sacks in 1996 and again in 1997 and is tied with Jim Mages for the record of single game sacks. He also holds the season record for sacks (13 ½).
Schreifels currently lives in Cold Spring, Minnesota.
